How We Reinvented I’m Not Really a Waitress®
In 1999, OPI founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann created I’m Not Really a Waitress® as an ode to “anyone labouring for a dream.” As part of our original Hollywood collection, this iconic chianti red pays homage to all the actors whose first big break was waiting tables, but also serves as a reminder that colour can empower you to do or be anything you want.

1.
Nearly 20 years later, we have reinvented this coveted shade for our 40th anniversary–our spring collection celebrates everything we love about Hollywood then and now, so we added a twist that’s as timeless as the original.

2.
Meet I’m Really an Actress, a rich ruby red with holographic shimmer that transforms dreams into reality. It can be dressed up or down making it a classic for all occasions, so whether you wear it to nail that presentation at work, on a red carpet, or out on the town, you’ll be a legend.

3.
We can’t wait to see how you bring it to life just like you did for I’m Not Really a Waitress®. Show us how you’re inspired by our new spring shade and snap a pic of how you’re wearing it with #OPIHollywood for a chance to be featured. For more iconic shades, stay tuned all year to see how we’re reinventing some of your favourites as part of our big anniversary celebration.
