Sammy says: EVERY client wants their treatment to include luxury. A client may book a quick basic pedicure or simple gel or polish on their toes, however this is a world of opportunity. I know that if I booked in for a simple service but was offered an upgrade once on site, I would always (unless I was short on time) say yes. £10 extra for a foot massage - yes, please!

Increasing Client Spend
Sammy says: In my salons, we charge between £25/£45 for an OPI gel polish service on toes depending on if you book a junior technician or a senior. Once in the salon, we offer clients a £15 pedicure upgrade to add-on a foot scrub and foot massage. We then offer a further £10 upgrade for some OPI ProSpa Treatment Socks. If a client has a lot of hard or callused skin, we then offer a further upgrade of the callus gel and hard skin removal. This can be added on for £15 extra. At the end of the pedicure, we ALWAYS recommend home care. A lot of our clients leave with some OPI ProSpa Treatment Socks to do again in a few days.

Sammy says: Clients need to be educated on the value of high-quality products and understand the cost of each add-on step. We use OPI in all our branches and I love that the ProSpa products are universal for manicures and pedicures. The line was developed as a skincare for the hands and feet so we do not need a line of products for manicures and a separate line for pedicures. One core product line does it all.
